# Backup/Restore differences between NXRM 3.5.x and NXRM 3.14.x?

@dwallace, thanks for the replies. I apologize, I missed that change, that the newer versions, \>=3.11, use the $data-dir/restore-from-backup location to populate the $data-dir/db directories. I was still trying to use the $data-dir/backup location which isn’t being used any longer and my $data-dir/restore-from-backup directory was empty.

I should be good moving forward.
