# Error Installing Nexus Service on Windows

Running ‘install-nexus-service.bat’ to install and the install script presents this error 'Do you want to proceed with these values? [Y/n]: y  
[2025-08-07 14:44:07] [warn] [9392] Failed to grant service user ‘NT AUTHORITY\LocalService’ write permissions to log path ‘C:\WINDOWS\system32\LogFiles\Apache’ due to error ‘19: The media is write protected.’

While the Windows service is created it doesn’t run. Any guidance would be welcomed. Thanks.
