For various reasons we will have to keep a NexusPro 2 server running side by side with our NexusPro 3 production line for a while (at least a year). According to the requirements notes for Nexus 2, Open JDK is not officially supported. Are there any plans for that? It would be very useful for us.
You can use Nexus Repo 2 with OpenJDK 8. We have quite a few customers doing that already. In particular, the JDK 8 from AdoptOpenJDK and the one bundled with RedHat/CentOS are in widespread use.
I’ll also note that if you are a paid customer you can use our support system at https://support.sonatype.com for requests like these.
