# Proxy for Oracle Maven repositroy

Hello.

Sonatype Nexus Repository Manager OSS 3.13.0-01 and 3.17.0-01.

Trying to use my own Nexus installation as proxy for repo at [maven.oracle.com](http://maven.oracle.com).

Credentials for Oracle repo are provided.

Not see any activity in logs or in tcpdump output.

What i do wrong. Thanks for any information.

Proxy Repository Settings (i was substitute some links such i’m newbie on this forum and can’t post more than 2 links):

Name: oracle-maven

Hello, we are trying to do the same as @chillaway

- Sonatype Nexus Repository Manager OSS 3.45.1-01
- We are trying to use the Oracle Maven proxy in our Nexus ([http://maven.oracle.com/](http://maven.oracle.com/)).
- Credentials for Oracle repo are provided and the EULA Oracle Licence agreement is accepted [Configuring the Oracle Maven Repository](https://docs.oracle.com/middleware/1213/core/MAVEN/config_maven_repo.htm#MAVEN9010)
- Enable circular redirects and Enable cookies are checked according to [https://support.sonatype.com/hc/en-us/articles/213465728-How-to-configure-a-proxy-repository-to-maven-oracle-com](https://support.sonatype.com/hc/en-us/articles/213465728-How-to-configure-a-proxy-repository-to-maven-oracle-com)

Our problem is that in Nexus admin our repository status is “Online - Remote Unavailable [java.net](http://java.net). SocketTimeoutException: Read timed out”

If we try to download this dependency for example **com.oracle.jdbc.ojdbc7:12.1.0.2** Maven fails

However if I setup Maven locally using their instructions for project pom and settings.xml [Configuring the Oracle Maven Repository](https://docs.oracle.com/middleware/1213/core/MAVEN/config_maven_repo.htm#MAVEN9010) it works.

Could you advise? Is this fixed in newer Nexus releases?
