Last week, a serious zero-day Remote Code Execution (RCE) [exploit was discovered in log4j](https://arstechnica.com/information-technology/2021/12/minecraft-and-other-apps-face-serious-threat-from-new-code-execution-bug/). This component is the most popular Java logging framework. Log4j affects a massive number of applications and an enormous number of businesses. Essentially, any application using log4j to perform logging, or any application that has a dependency that uses Log4j, is potentially exploitable.
