Email Server in Nexus.... does it not work for anyone?... In the courses I teach, I will have to say that this does not work

Hi, I am using Nexus OSS 3.63
What data to put in Administration->System->Email Server for the notifications to work?
I put data that I know is valid, but it doesn’t work.
(I’m trying to post a screenshot, but it’s not possible)
For example, what are the valid values for a Gmail or Outlook server?
