How to permanently install bundles into Nexus

integrations
help

#1

I’ve been working on a Bundle for Nexus 3. I’ve followed these instructions to install the bundle into Nexus Installing Bundles. It inserts the bundle into Nexus but not permanently. So I looked around and found these other Bundles which had other instructions for installing GitHub - sonatype-nexus-community/nexus-repository-r: R, v data science, much functional programming, doge.

Which method is the preferred way of installing Bundles? Ideally, i’d want the user to install it once and not have to worry about it until they need to update.

Thanks.

Hi,
In that plugin, I believe the difference between the “more permanent” and “most permanent” installations is the way you start them up. More requires additional commands whereas most requires additional configuration. Both should survive restart of server however as you note, I don’t think either will survive upgrade. As far as I know there’s no way to do that.
Hope that helps,
Joe
