Yes, in fact, there are multiple ways of staying on top of our releases.
For Nexus Repository:
- Outreach (aka the Welcome Page) is the page you can see right after opening Nexus Repository, given your administrator hasn’t turned the feature off, where you can see a notification box at the top if there’s a newer release available.
- Nexus Users Group: https://groups.google.com/a/glists.sonatype.com/g/nexus-users
- Nexus Pro Announcements Group: https://groups.google.com/a/glists.sonatype.com/g/nexus-pro-announcements
For Nexus IQ:
- There’s a notification element within the product in the top right corner where you’ll be able to find information when there’s a new release available [2]

No, they have to pull that information via the Internet.
