Nexus Repository in an air-gapped environment

Hi community,

is it possible to setup Nexus Repository in an air-gapped environment with a smart remote repository?
I know that this is possible with JFrog Artifactory (Using JFrog Artifactory With an Air Gap), but as we already have some experience with Nexus OSS, it would be nice to stick with Nexus.

This is something you could do with Nexus Pro through the Export and the Import tasks.

so I understand, that import & export is the only way to build a software delivery pipeline in an air-gapped environment, right?
A “semi air-gapped” setup like JFrog’s Smart Remote Repositories is not possible with Nexus, correct?

I’m not familiar with jfrog’s functionality.
