we are using on-prem open source nexus repository for our docker images, currently we are seeing critical security vulnerability so we need to upgrade later version, could you please someone help on this, like how to upgrade without losing the data, is there doc for step by step process, highly appreciated if any help on this.
Any idea/update on this ?

Before starting the upgrade, ensure that your instance is stopped and a full backup of your sonatype-work directory is taken.
