Community Edition - Does exceeding the request limit (100k/day) result in service blocking?

Hi,

We are running Nexus Repository Community Edition 3.96.4. Our Usage Center shows that we have exceeded the daily request limit (316,000+ requests vs 100,000 limit), but our total components are well below the 40,000 limit (currently ~18,000).

The UI shows a warning: “Usage Limits Will Be Enforced Starting November 6, 2026, when new components can no longer be added.”

My question: Does exceeding the request limit (100k/day) result in any service blocking or enforcement? Or is blocking only triggered by exceeding the component limit (40,000)?

The documentation mentions enforcement for components but does not explicitly state what happens when the request limit is exceeded.

Thank you.

Hi, Mehdi. Exceeding either limit has the same result. From our documentation:

Community Edition’s built-in safeguards will pause the addition of new components until usage returns below both thresholds.
