How do I opt out of telemetry?
I see this in the outbound-request.log
https://clm.sonatype.com/user-telemetry/v1/rte/api/v1/feature/client
Hi, Delany! Am I right in thinking you’re using Repo Community Edition?
Yeah that’s right. The latest 3.80.0-06
Take a look at our documentation on the topic of telemetry here. It can’t be disabled but all the information is anonymous and non-sensitive.
Hello,
Nexus Repo Pro user here.
I clearly understand the interests from Sonatype in getting feedback from productive environments.
What I don’t understand is, that this behaviour can not be changed or feedback is gathered in any other way than “talking home” by default.
This is an unwanted feature that I think will be blocked by any rules in the environments anyway.
Hi, Roland!
First – and I know this isn’t a response to your comment, sorry – if your organization requires complete separation from the public Internet, talk to a sales rep about SAGE, our disconnected, air-gapped environment.
But to respond to your comment, I understand that the telemetry can cause some friction. Remember that telemetry data is anonymized and non-sensitive. We use that data to understand the same sorts of things that customers (like you) want to know about their deployments – feature usage, efficiency, database types, etc… This data helps us make good decisions about the future of Nexus Repository development.
