Hello, I set up a proxy to a private Harbor registry a while back and it was working fine, but recently I can’t pull images from it anymore. The error message is
“not found: manifest unknown: manifest unknown”, but it seems to be a catch all error message when connection to the the proxy fails.
At first, it turned out that the problem was that the password had expired. I figured it out by trying to connect directly to the registry.
But updating the password in nexus did not make any difference. I still get the same message. I don’t see anything glaring in the logs.
Any help would be much appreaciated.
I’ve resolved the issue by recreating the proxy repository using a different name. Perhaps the login parameters were never being updated? Note that deleting the repo and recreating it with the same name did not work.
Hi, Gabriella! Glad to see you resolved the issue. There are a few reasons you may see the “manifest unknown” error, including authentication issues.
